What We Believe

Beliefs - We the members hold some scared doctrines that validates our relationship with The Lord Almighty. We believe in a Trinitarian system of The Godhead: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. We accept that they are three individuals which operate as a unit. The Father is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days and rested on the seventh day. The Son is the second person, Jesus Christ, of this system who is responsible for sustaining the human race which was created by God. This sustaining ingredient is wrapped in salvation which comes through the Son. Finally, The Holy Spirit is last person in this Trinitarian equation. The function of the Holy Spirit is to teach those who claim the plan of salvation. It guides and instructs us in the truths of God.
We also believe that we are saved by the Grace of God and that Salvation was a gift offered by Him. We accept that the Old Testament was written under the influence of the law, but as New Testament Saints, we are under Grace. We realize that the law is just a shadow introducing us into the presence of Grace. We believe that Christ lived a sinless life, born of a virgin and was raised from the dead on the third day. We believe that Jesus is God's only begotten Son who died a vicarious death. We believe the only substitution for human sin is the shed blood of Christ. Finally, we accept and practice that in order to live eternally with Christ, you must be saved according to the plan Jesus shared with Nicodemus in the Gospel of John Chapter 3 verse 3.

Mission - The goal of our church is to be a beacon in the community by introducing the people to the awareness of Christ. Just as the Africa Proverb says, It takes a village to raise a child," and the purpose of our church is to raise the expectation of the community. Our church has a strong desire to be in relationship with our community because of the youth since they are our center focus. If the youth are excited about being in church, eventually that excitement will become contagious and prayerfully the parents will start visiting. The mission of the church is to become contagious in the community and not solely to win souls, this is according to the commandment of God.

Vision - The wisest person, Solomon, wrote, "Where there is no vision, the people will perish." (Proverbs 29:18). The opposite of this is true as well, "Where there is no people the vision will perish." The prophet Hosea wrote, "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6). While the mission is what our church is currently practicing, but the vision of our church is what she is pacing after. Our church's vision is to have all ministries actively engaged in service inside and outside the walls of the church. This will encourage each ministry to be involved in the field because Jesus uttered: “The harvest is plenteous but the laborers are few." The vision of our church is in sight, but, never completely obtainable, therefore, we must keep striving.
